  Transfer students are automatically considered for several UVM scholarships, including the Dean’s Merit, Pathway, and Phi Theta Kappa scholarships—no separate application required. Awards range from $2,000–$12,000 annually, based on GPA, residency, and pathway participation. Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Most successful transfer applicants present a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. Other considerations include trends in grades, preparation for major, and space availability for program selected.
• Official Transcripts:
  The submission of your official high school transcript is required, in addition to official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions.
• SAT Scores:
  The submission of official standardized test scores is not required.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Optional. If you choose to submit a letter of recommendation, it should be written by a current professor.
• Essay:
  There is an essay/personal statement included on the application.
• Application Fee:
  There is a $55 (U.S.) nonrefundable application fee (Vermont residents who apply by November 1 under Early Action will have their application fee waived).
• Interview:
  A personal interview is not required for admission consideration.
• Associates Degree Required:
  No
• Other Requirements:
  We encourage all new transfer students enrolled for fall semester to attend one of the summer transfer orientation sessions.
